Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme - Surveying Property and Maintenance

The Association of Building Engineers is proud to launch a pilot Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme which has been developed in conjunction with Asset Skills and is offered on behalf of the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA).

The Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme consists of two areas; the first being an 18-month academic programme leading to a Technical Certificate, and the second, a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Surveying, Property and Maintenance.

The scheme will cover the areas of;Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Maintenance, Valuation and General Practice. In addition, the Apprenticeship Scheme will provide individuals with knowledge, understanding and skills within the areas of:

  • Personal development
  • Health, safety and welfare
  • Data collection and use
  • Construction methods
  • Materials, condition and measurements
  • Dispute resolution and
  • Cost control.

This Apprenticeship Scheme will enable an individual to gain work-based experience along-side academic training to develop their career within the Construction and Property industries. The scheme will also provide employers with an ideal route to training surveyors for the future, equipping them with the basic skills required to become key players within the industry.
