Communications update
In preparation for the introduction of Home Information Packs (HIPs) and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) from 1 August, CLG has carried out intensive communication with the industry and consumers, including:
- national, regional, trade and online advertising
- direct mailshots; including the provision of a ‘swatch’ guide and marketing materials on CD
- a dedicated website
- regular newsletters and e-alerts to 23,000 industry subscribers, together with a programme of meetings and events.

Order your HIPs swatch
Copies of the FAST FACTS GUIDE in ‘swatch’ format are now available on the HIPs website. You can also order your guide from the Communities and Local Government Publications Centre. This free guide has been designed in swatch format to help estate agents inform both buyers and sellers about Home Information Packs, by providing answers to general questions and details of where to go for further information.

Order your HIPs Toolkit
The HIPs starter pack toolkit has been put together to help businesses prepare for 1 August and beyond.
The toolkit comes with leaflets, ‘for sale’ board stickers, window posters, as well as a CD of files which can be used to produce your own HIPs related promotional material.
