AHIPP ANNOUNCES VOLUNTARY ROLL OUT IN SIX LOCATIONS ACROSS THE UK

The Association of Home Information Pack Providers (AHIPP) has today announced the first stage of its regional roll out of the Home Information Pack (HIP) and the Home Condition Report (HCR)
CLG statement on the AHIPP press release:

"The Government is committed to implementing Home Information Packs on 1 June 2007

“The decision not to introduce mandatory Home Condition Reports from the same date was driven by the overriding priority of ensuring a smooth implementation that maximises the benefits for consumers.

"As set out in the written statement on 18 July, the Government is determined to make the voluntary approach to Home Condition Reports work, so we welcome AHIPP's announcement of its regional rollout.

"We expect to set out further details of our implementation programme for HIPs in September."
