This qualification has been developed to enable Home Inspectors who are qualified to produce Home Condition Reports (HCRs) and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for inclusion in a Home Information Pack (HIP) to also carry out Residential Valuations for Secured Lending.
The ABE, in conjunction with Manchester Open Learning (MOL), has developed a programme which provides supported distance learning including materials and a one-day workshop to assist the candidate in achieving the requirements necessary to meet the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and complete their Certificate in Valuation portfolio.
Individuals who have completed or those close to completion of their Diploma in Home Inspection (DipHI).
To provide the qualification required for producing Valuations for Secured Lending Purposes.
MOL will provide the supported distance-learning materials in which you will find details of the knowledge requirements related to the qualification including factors affecting value, valuation methodology, as well as supply and demand theory.
The package includes a series of self-assessment questions and answers to provide feedback. Candidates have the benefit of tutor support by telephone and e-mail.
Candidates are responsible for their reading, research and completion of the distance-learning material.
This session will provide an opportunity to discuss prior learning and explore the subject areas with fellow students. The workshop day will include a variety of exercises and feedback sessions as well as lectures on areas related to the Valuation qualification. Candidates will be given the opportunity to ask questions and participate throughout the day to assist in developing their knowledge of the subject area. Details on portfolio requirements and content will also be provided. Upon registration you will be provided with the date of your workshop.
