This Certificate in Valuation for Secured Lending (CertValSL) has been developed to enable Home Inspectors who can prepare Home Condition Reports and Energy Performance Certificates for inclusion in a Home Information Pack to also carry out Residential Valuations for Secured Lending.
The ABE in conjunction with
MOL have developed a programme which provides supported distance learning including materials and a one day workshop to assist the candidate in achieving the requirements necessary to meet the National Occupational Standards and complete their Residential Valuation Portfolio.
Candidates are required to produce a portfolio of 10 valuations using various methods and covering various property types and ages, similar to those for the Diploma in Home Inspection. For full details view the qualification Route.
Candidates will be required to sit and pass an external examination.
Candidates exempt from undertaking these units are those who are already working within the field of valuation and whom have relevant qualifications allowing them to do so.
The course fees apply as follows:
| Experienced Practitioner | |
|---|---|
ABE Member |
£1250 + VAT |
Non-Member |
£1400 + VAT |
Accomodation is not included but can be arranged for a fee of £67 (per night, includes breakfast and dinner).
Home Inspector Candidates who have completed at least 60% of their Diploma are eligible to apply for and qualify as Valuation Surveyors through the completion of the Valuation Module.
Please note that candidates will not be able to apply for their Valuation certificate until they have been issued their Diploma in Home Inspection. However the valuation units and evidence may be undertaken along side the completion of your Home Inspectors Portfolio.
For full details on how to book your place on this course view the Register or Request an Information Pack page of the Valuation Route.
You will gain access to a wide range of relevant CPD events and information.
