The Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment (DipDEA3) has been created to develop & qualify individuals to become licensed Energy Assessors to undertake Energy Inspections and produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for residential properties to be included in Home Information Packs (HIPs) . The intent behind the programme is to improve the general process of buying and selling residential properties, reducing delays and expenditure in the long term. They are also to be introduced following the European Directive on climate change.
This Diploma has been designed as an alternative route to the Diploma in Home Inspection (DipHI) and provides individuals with the opportunity of additional assessments to gain the DipHI.
Candidates are required to attend the Training Days listed below:
To provide the qualification required for undertaking the role of a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) including training, assessment and verification. The DipDEA3 allows successful applicants to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for all existing residential properties.
Individuals with relevant experience and qualifications in the subject area, spanning a minimum of two years.
Candidates will be required to sit and pass an external examination.
