About the Level 4 Top-up Diploma in Non-Domestic Energy Assessment (DipNDEA4)

The Top-up DipNDEA4 has been created to develop and qualify individuals to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for existing and new commercial buildings.

Candidates will need to have achieved the Level 3 Diploma in Non-Domestic Energy Assessment (DipNDEA3) prior to undertaking this route.

Candidates are required to attend Training Days including an Introductory Day which is followed by the training sessions listed below:

  • Day 1 - Level 4 Construction Technology
  • Day 2 - Level 4 Services
  • Day 3 - Examination Workshop

Course Aims

To provide training to enable individuals to prepare for and qualify to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for existing and new commercial buildings which incorporate complex heating and cooling systems and carbon technologies.

Ideal for

Candidates with a minimum of three years’ experience of commercial construction including the inspection of existing and new commercial buildings.

Candidates will need to have achieved the Level 3 Diploma in Non-Domestic Energy Assessment (DipNDEA) prior to undertaking this route.

Assessment

Portfolio of 3 Reports for DipNDEA4
In order to achieve the DipNDEA4 candidates are expected to meet the requirements of the National Occupational Standards (NOS) by producing a portfolio which contains a minimum of three Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) on buildings, with at least one on a new build and two from more complex existing buildings, which must be supported by photographs, site notes, plans and any other additional supporting information for the types and range of the buildings required.

Candidates will be required to sit and pass and external examination.
