The DipDEC3 has been created to develop and qualify individuals to produce Display Energy Certificates (DECs) for all public buildings within certain criteria.
Candidates are required to attend Training Days including an Introductory Day which is then followed by the training sessions listed below:
To provide training to enable individuals to prepare for and qualify to produce Display Energy Certificates (DECs) and Advisory Reports (ARs) for all public buildings with a total useful floor area over 1000m2.
Candidates with a minimum of three years experience of commercial construction and inspection of commercial buildings. This Diploma would suit experienced Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) who can demonstrate commercial knowledge and experience to meet the criteria for the award and who are members of an appropriate Professional Body.
Produce Portfolio of 3 Reports for the DipDEC3
In order to achieve the DipDEC3 candidates are required to meet the requirements of the National Occupation Standards (NOS) by producing a portfolio which contains a minimum of 3 DECs and accompanying ARs which must be supported by photographs, site notes, plans and any other additional supporting information for the types and range of buildings.
Candidates will be required to sit and pass an external examination.
