CPD Events
Best Practice in AssessmentCPD: 6 Hours
- This workshop explores more efficient ways of delivering assessments, and considers the implications for professional practice during assessment of candidates. The day considers and reflects on the candidate's needs and provides guidance on how to incorporate findings within the assessment process.
Cost-Effective AssessmentCPD: 4 Hours
- This workshop explores and compares traditional and modern approaches to assessment, using digital technology to make assessments efficient and cost effective.
The workshop focuses on enhancing skills and provides knowledge of current trends, embracing the new assessment era.
Update from D32/33 to A1CPD: 6 Hours
- This workshop provides the opportunity to update those with the D32/33 (Old Assessor Award) qualifications and ensure delegates are familiar with the requirements of the A1 Award (New Assessor Award). It compares and contrasts the differences between D32/33 and A1, and identifies areas for personal development.
Update from D34 to V1CPD: 6 Hours
- This workshop provides the opportunity to update those with the D34 (Old Internal Verifier Award) qualification and ensure delegates are familiar with the requirements of the V1 Award (New Internal Verifier Award). It compares and contrasts the differences between D34 and V1, and identifies areas for personal development.
Equality and Diversity in AssessmentCPD: 3 Hours
- This workshop demonstrates the differences in learning and assessment requirements, provides and reviews a variety of assessment and teaching techniques to support and overcome potential difficulties, enabling access to a wider range of candidates.
Formative and Summative AssessmentCPD: 3 Hours
- This workshop reviews the role and impact of both Formative and Summative Assessments. It gives guidance on the use of constructive feedback and the efficient use of assessment methods whilst exploring the effect they have on the quality assurance process.
Making the Most of Prior Learning, Experience and AchievementCPD: 4 Hours
- This workshop focuses on reviewing a candidate's current competence, and provides an opportunity to explore different approaches to the effective use of Prior Learning, Experience and Achievement. Guidance is provided on how to incorporate previous achievements into the assessment process.
Professional DiscussionCPD: 4 Hours
- This workshop provides information and guidance on the role of Professional Discussions within the assessment process. It will demonstrate how they can be used to confirm or reinforce a candidate's understanding of the subject and determine areas where a candidate may be unsure.
StandardisationCPD: 4 Hours
- This workshop provides guidance on Standardisation in the assessment process and how the quality assurance process is achieved.
