Construction Skills Certification Scheme

About CSCS Cards

In 1995 the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) was unveiled with the aim of registering competent operatives and craftspeople. Originally the Scheme only covered a few particular sectors of the industry, and the need for a CSCS card was not considered vital. However, the importance of having a fully qualified health and safety aware workforce now means that anyone who may visit a construction site must be trained to CSCS standards, and carry the required level of CSCS card for their profession.

Any queries you may have about the scheme should be directed to (external link) CSCS.
