Apply for a CSCS Card

Note: You are required to have passed the health and safety test prior to applying for a card.

To apply for your CSCS card download the pdf iconapplication form and complete the following sections:

  • Section A - Your Details
  • Section B - Occupation and Card Details
  • Section C - Employer Declaration (Signature 1 only)

The completed form is to be submitted with:

  • A good quality passport sized photo with a light background
  • Photocopies of the documents requested on the form (please note that certificates or apprenticeship papers should be for the occupation applied for). If they are not enclosed, they will not be included on the card
  • Please state which occupation is required on your card:
    • Professionally Qualified Person
    • Building Control Officer
    • Maintenance Manager

  • A copy of your current ABE Membership Card including Membership number and signature
  • A copy of your CPD (Continued Professional Development) records
  • A cheque made payable to ConstructionSkills (Not ABE) for the card processing fee of £24.47 (Reduced as a result of VAT changes, see the CSCS and CISRS Cards VAT Reduction news item for details)

The completed application form and required forms should then be sent to:

If the application has been completed incorrectly or requires any further information, the form will be returned to the applicant who then has a 90 day period to remedy the error or face an additional charge.
